5/18: The Dead return!

E-mail Print PDF
The Grateful DeadLong-time Rock Band fans will remember the two Grateful Dead packs we got over a hundred weeks ago, back when three-song packs were the norm and six-packs were practically unheard of. Two years later, we're finally getting a third Grateful Dead pack featuring "Touch of Grey" and "Scarlet Begonias", along with four others. On the more recent side of things, we're also getting two singles from Jersey rockers The Smithereens, including "A Girl Like You". More details, including track list and pricing, after the jump.

5/11: 30 Years of British Steel

E-mail Print PDF
Judas Priest - British SteelIt might be tempting, but don't go breaking the law to get at this week's Rock Band DLC. You'll have to wait until Tuesday like everyone else to play the entirety of Judas Priest's British Steel live, taken from their 2009 tour and proving that you don't have to be young to rock harder than any band in the world. The original metal gods are joining a club shared by Pearl Jam and Megadeth with their second full album in Rock Band, bringing their total track count to 22 in Rock Band 2. If the less-than-subtle namedropping didn't tip you off, this album includes "Breaking the Law" and "Metal Gods"; more details, including full track list and pricing, after the jump.

5/4: No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom

E-mail Print PDF
No Doubt - Tragic KingdomLong-time players will remember the first No Doubt pack we got back in December 2008, featuring five songs off No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom (including "Just a Girl" and "Don't Speak"). This week, we'll be getting the rest of the album in the Tragic Kingdom Deep Cuts pack, but if you passed up on the first No Doubt pack, you can also download the entire album in the Tragic Kingdom Complete Album pack. How cool is that? We've also got singles from California kids Picture Me Broken and Australia's guitar heroine Orianthi. More details, including full track list and pricing, after the jump.

4/27: Flyleaf, Busted, Silverchair

E-mail Print PDF
Silverchair - TomorrowThis week only has three songs coming to Rock Band, but they're three pretty good songs, so that should make up for it. Starting on Tuesday the 27th, you can play Silverchair's "Tomorrow" or singles from Flyleaf and Busted in Rock Band and Rock Band 2. More details, including full track list and pricing, after the jump.
