As E3 approaches, more details about the upcoming Rock Band 3, due out holiday 2010, are beginning to trickle out. An interview with Alex Rigopulos, Harmonix CEO, done by USA Today reveals more details about the keyboard peripheral and the rumored "pro mode", as well as the first several songs. According to Rigopulos, the keyboard peripheral will have 25 keys, with only five being used at any given moment in standard gameplay. In Rock Band 3's pro mode, the player will need to use all 25 keys, with the highway shifting to the left and right to display more gems. The peripheral itself is a fully functional MIDI controller that can easily be used to help players make the jump into playing real music. The same interview reports a special, full-size Fender guitar for pro mode and one other guitar peripheral for which details are still unknown.
Harmonix also released details on the song list. Rock Band 3 will include 83 songs. Some of the bigger names appearing on the disc include Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and The Doors' "Break On Through", but the 22 songs that have been revealed are all impressive. The song list as we know it is after the jump.
