While the demo for Green Day: Rock Band dropped today on Xbox Live (featuring 2 playable songs, "Welcome to Paradise" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"), the bigger news may lie in the splash screen that pops up at the end of the demo.
Next to the familiar guitar, bass, and drum icons are a 3-mic icon (indicating vocal harmonies) and a new, fifth icon showing a keyboard.
Does this mean we'll get a fancy new keyboard peripheral? Will you play it on an existing RB guitar, using the frets for keys? We don't know the details yet, but expect them to be revealed at E3 next month.

Hardcore fans of dirty southern metal have waited for a long time, and this week, it's finally paying off. Pantera's eighth album, The Great Southern Trendkill, is hitting Rock Band in its almost-entirety. While "Suicide Note, Pt. I" won't be available in this pack, the album's other ten songs will be, including "Drag the Waters" and "War Nerve". More details, including full track list and pricing, after the jump.
Long-time Rock Band fans will remember the two Grateful Dead packs we got over a hundred weeks ago, back when three-song packs were the norm and six-packs were practically unheard of. Two years later, we're finally getting a third Grateful Dead pack featuring "Touch of Grey" and "Scarlet Begonias", along with four others. On the more recent side of things, we're also getting two singles from Jersey rockers The Smithereens, including "A Girl Like You". More details, including track list and pricing, after the jump.
