Rock Band is getting Electric Six's iconic song "Gay Bar" this week. Yes, really. It comes out along two other songs in Electric Six Pack 01. This week also has six other tracks, including a Raconteurs three-pack, featuring "Steady As She Goes", to add to the Jack White in the game. Rounding out the week, we have a single from the Flobots and two songs from Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill, including "Ironic". The week of September 29th brings a five-pack from Alice in Chains featuring three classic songs (including "Rooster") and two songs off their new album Black Gives Way to Blue to Rock Band. Also coming our way is a three-pack from Breaking Benjamin including "So Cold". To cap off the week, we have two singles from Britpop band Kula Shaker and one from ambitious young rocker Just Kait, affectionately titled "U Suck". Bang your head! The latest genre track pack for Rock Band has shipped out to stores and if you like your music heavy you'll want to pick this one up. The Metal Track Pack offers you 20 metal songs - 14 from Rock Band's DLC library and 6 songs that are exclusive to this pack for the next few months. If you've got a 360 or a PS3, you'll be able to import these tracks into your regular Rock Band library.
Starting this week, Pearl Jam will become the first band to have multiple albums in Rock Band. Their ninth studio album, Backspacer, hits stores on Sunday the 20th. It will be joining Ten in the XBox 360 music store on Sunday, with Wii and PS3 releases to follow later in the week.
