As announced at the Spike Video Game Awards tonight, Green Day will be getting much more than a few songs in the Rock Band platform. Coming in 2010 to the XBox 360, PS3, and Wii, Green Day: Rock Band will use the trademark imagery and favorite venues of the band to back an unknown amount of songs, spanning from more recent albums like 21st Century Breakdown and American Idiot all the way back to Dookie and possibly earlier.
Though the track list is unannounced, we do know that the game will be fully exportable to Rock Band and Rock Band 2, much like the AC/DC Track Pack from last year. We will keep you posted with more details as soon as they come out. In the meantime, congratulations to Harmonix for walking away with Music Game of the Year for The Beatles: Rock Band!
